APPLY TODAY
  • How much is the trip to Ghana? 
    $3,500 (flight not included) We cover meals, transportation, admission fees, activities, hotel stay and more! We also fundraise to bring the total cost down and once your student is accepted, we will provide individual fundraising tools.

  • What if I can't afford to go? 
    We want every student to travel to Ghana and we will help you fundraise the money you need.

  • How many classes can I miss? 
    You can only miss 1 class with a valid excuse.

  • How many credits will I receive for taking this course? 
    Stamford, CT Public School students will receive 1 full credit which will satisfy the Mastery-Based Learning credit required for high school graduation. 

  • What if I want to take the course, but I don't want to travel to Ghana? 
    That's okay. We will not force you to travel and you will still receive 1 full credit if you attend a Stamford, CT Public high school. We will work to get the same or equivalent incentive for students in other cities and states.

  • When do we depart for Ghana? 
    Tentative date is Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

  • Who will handle flights and accommodations? 
    Students and families are responsible for their flight. We are responsible for all other accomodations.

  • Do I have to get my passport, visa and vaccinations on my own? 
    Yes, but we will guide you and make sure you complete the necessary requirements. 

  • Do I need to go to school in Connecticut? 
    No, we are now nationwide. A courses schedule with our zoom link will be sent to you.

  • Can I participate if I am homeschooled? 
    Yes!

  • Is Ghana safe? 
    ​Ghana is generally considered a safe destination for travelers. However, updates  with the US embassy in Ghana and our travel agency will occur to stay abreast of travel conditions.
