Joseph Holland served as a New York government official in legislative and executive capacities. Holland is a graduate of Cornell University, and holds his J.D. degree from Harvard Law School. Joseph Holland is an attorney, author, content creator, and ordained minister. His heart is for the community of Harlem where he has served for 40 years. Through his real estate law practice, Holland built commercial enterprises and expanded employment opportunities. He was instrumental in establishing an American Express Travel Office, a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream parlor, and Hark Homes – a homeless shelter whose residents were able to find work at these establishments. He also served for many years as Vice-President of the Harlem Business Alliance (hbany.org) and co-founded the Beth Hark Christian Counseling Center. His sixth book -- "Make Your Own History: Timeless Truths From Black American Trailblazers" -- was published in October 2023.
